Vladimir Bogatyrev was born in 1945 in the Far East. As a teenager, he realized that he wanted to be an artist. He studied graphics at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts, and after his studies he moved to Klaipėda. The artist belongs to the school of classical realism. His works include landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and figurative compositions. Currently, he often paints creatures from the fantasy world – homo gnomus. V. Bogatyrev has been a member of the Lithuanian Artists Union since 1992, having held more than 50 personal exhibitions. The author's works have been acquired by museums and private collectors from Lithuania, Germany, Russia, the USA, France, and Spain.
