Vladas Vėlyvis was born in 1948 in Alytus, Lithuania. In 1968 he graduated from the school of arts in Sverdlovsk and returned back to Lithuania. Till 1997 he was working in the advertising and design branch and since 1997 is making original oil and graphic paintings in a professional way. His works are permanently on exhibition in Lithuania and abroad. The main point in the paintings is symbolism: earth, space and love motifs, expressed through a surrealistic prism.
